Verified Performance

Solar generation,measured and reconciled

We believe sustainability performance should be measurable and verifiable, not described in general terms. Solar generation is metered at source and reconciled with utility meter readings.

Indicator
Performance
Installed solar capacity
1.84 MWp
Solar electricity generated
2,056.73 MWh / year
Share of electricity consumption met by solar
7.55% (yearly)
Scope 2 emissions avoided
1,275.17 tCO₂e (yearly)

Methodology: Avoided emissions are calculated using Bangladesh’s official national Grid Emission Factor of 0.62 tCO₂/MWh, issued by the Article 6 Designated National Authority under the Department of Environment (Bangladesh First Biennial Update Report to the UNFCCC, 2023). Because Bangladesh’s grid still relies heavily on fossil fuels, every unit of solar power PGC self-consumes directly reduces purchased-electricity (Scope 2) emissions — a real, measurable reduction, not an offset.

What This Means For Our Customers

Supporting your Scope 3 and climatecommitments

As a packaging partner to leading multinational and national brands, we recognize that emissions from manufacturing your packaging form part of your supply-chain (Scope 3) footprint. By lowering the carbon intensity of our operations, we help reduce the embedded emissions in the products we supply — with transparent, auditable performance data your team can cite directly.

Built Into How We Manufacture

Guided by TPM, Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement, sustainability isn't a separate initiative at PGC — it's how we run every plant, every day, across every laminated tube, bottle, can, closure, and label we produce.
